Saturday evening luck

I put in at lake springs and was on my way up river to see the fireworks Saturday evening when the fish finder screen filled up with arches. I went back to make sure my equipment was not wrong. Fish were stacked up in 60 feet of water from 40 to 20 feet. I marked the spot on the gps and went on up to see the fireworks. It was a good show with hundreds of boats in the water. When we came back around 11:30, I started looking for the fish where I had marked them. Needless to say they were not there. I looked on the gps map for humps around 40 feet deep and found several about 1/2 mile down river. The fish were there although they were scattered out over several humps. Dropped a live herring down and it was hit before It got 20 feet down, handed the pole to my wife and baited another rod, same thing. We ran out of bait in 30 minutes, 2 dozen is all I bought. Took 20 fish home in 3 to 6 pound range. We did not catch any small fish, they were all keepers.
